/to call home always the same place/
a thing by Giada Bossi & ARSSALENDO
This 18" audiovisual "thing", unites the languages of music video and narrative short. The project is a collaboration between Giada Bossi, writer and director, and Arssalendo, Italian artist and producer whose tracks score the film. These first loves and impulses—things we’ve only seen in films—create a deep insecurity. Not knowing what the other person feels, or if you’re loved back, breeds fear and emotional fragility. It’s the age of first wounds, in a world of emotional illiteracy. In small suburban realities, even the smallest misstep gets judged. So you hide behind coolness, distance, and performative strength. But in protecting yourself, you end up hurting—and getting hurt.
That’s where our story begins: a teenage girl is mocked for how she kisses—by the same boy who will soon be in a tragic car accident. Is there still time to forgive?
