Mikael Varhelyi is a Swedish production designer and art director known for his versatile and visually striking work across film, theatre, television, exhibitions, and commercial spaces. Based between Stockholm and Los Angeles, he runs his own studio, Mikael Varhelyi & Son AB, where he leads projects that blend strong conceptual design with meticulous craftsmanship.

He has contributed to numerous feature films, including titles such as The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The 12th Man, and Bergman Island, bringing a distinctive sense of atmosphere and narrative depth to each production. Beyond cinema, Varhelyi has designed theatrical sets, museum and retail environments, and collaborated with well-known global brands.
